A good 300 days of wind from 4 Beaufort upwards!
The “spot” lies in the wind channel of the Gulf of Aqaba. In Dahab the full force of the wind hits our peninsula, projecting 7 km into the gulf and acting like an aircraft wing. This phenomenon is also caused by the thermals and simultaneous deflection of the wind. For this reason it blows stronger and more frequently here than anywhere else on the Red Sea.
